The thought does count
When people leave their job (under good terms!) there’s always a leaving card that gets passed around for everyone to sign. I have noticed that on every card the gets passed around whether it be birthday, congratulations or leaving cards, most people write exactly the same things over and over again. I always think it’s not really worth signing a card if you’re just going to put ‘best wishes’, ‘happy birthday’ or ‘congratulations’ and sign your name. So it’s my new year’s resolution to write something a little bit personal on cards to people. When I get a card from work people, the people that take the time and put the thought into writing something relevant to me are always appreciated. Take the time when writing your wishes, the thought does count.
